Plasma cars and cooking lessons

We took Andrew's new plasma car to cousin Alex and Rachel's house during our three day visit.

For those who do not know what one is... you sit on it with your feet propped up and then just wiggle the steering handle back and forth and it magically (well I'm sure there is a scientific explanation involving words like inertia, centrifugal force, gravity, and friction) moves forward or backward depending on how the wheel is facing. They are addictive and kids have been known to have trouble getting the adults to stop playing with them! Yes, both grandma and Aunt Jenn were spotted on the plasma car... sadly I have no photographic evidence of that to share!

However, it was Rachel who seemed glued to it the majority of the time, whether giving Andrew a ride or going solo :)

This is what she looked like most of the time... the fact that the hair on top of her head is standing on end, should give you some idea of the speed she was going!

Sitting still long enough for a pretty pose!

The kids got to participate in a healthy food class at Publix, they had a great time :)

Living in Florida means you generally do not have to put mittens on your childrens hands... this made getting gloves onto Andrew's hands an interesting challenge!

How many ways can you go down a slip n slide?

Apparently quite a few! Especially when you've got a bit of a downhill slope to help you out.

There's the traditionalist

The less traditional... but just as effective going downhill..

The tandem

And then the... spread your wings and fly technique!

Jumping With Style!

First up... Andrew with an interesting diving pose (not to worry, he was jumping, not diving into 18 inches of water, LOL)

Second... Rachel with the classic airplane technique

And last but not least.... Alex with a style all his own!

Hmmm.... can't imagine why grandma is standing
on the other side of the sliding glass doors!

Pools... actions... and consequences

Two boys having fun.....

Action : throwing a cup of water at mommy and the not so waterproof
camera (after being warned not to do so).

Consequence: One boy not having so much fun!
Can you say timeout? Andrew can!

Corn

Hmmm... I don't know mom, looks like a banana to me!

Nope - it's corn!

Water Water Everywhere

So apparently using a slip n slide is not completely intuitive... Chuck did bravely demonstrate the proper technique repeatedly (and still has sore stomach muscles to prove it). But alas... Andrew seems to think the run until you fall technique is the best.

Hmmm... wonder what will happen next??

Yep... you guessed it (p.s. no child harmed in the taking of this picture)

Now this is more like it.. with a helpful push from daddy!

Another good push from daddy!

Demonstrating the Monkey Crawl technique with new goggles on... looking cool is an essential part of swimming!

Fishing anyone?

Ahhh... now that's the life!

Work, play, drink, sleep

Upon the demise of Chuck's truck (necessitating the purchase of a new vehicle), the lawn service portion of our budget took a direct hit. Oh well, it was oh so nice while it lasted! In light of that, Andrew has been enrolled in lawn mowing school apparently, LOL. Why do I get the feeling that by the time he can actually do it... he will no longer want to!

All work and no play.....

hmmm.. the mind of a three year old boy, a curious place to explore!

Guess what happens when you drink a glass of orange (carrot) juice?

You get an orange moustache of course, LOL!

Shhhh.... tired boy sleeping! I'm guessing poor Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater were ready for a break too.
