Walk to “Monkey Island”

We’ve been walking/bikeriding to “Monkey Island” several evenings each week.  It is the remnants of a tourist attraction that existed back in the 1950’s.  I took a few pictures of our walk/ride there tonight.

We’re on our way :)

Stopping to admire a snail shell (aka a treasured find).

Getting close!  It is on the other side of the red bridge (the bridge is actually a footbridge that leads to the island)

A closeup of the red flowers on the Royal Poinciana tree…. I had no idea how pretty they were until I saw these :)

Taking a break and refueling with some yummy Dibs

Just say Dibs

Perhaps we should rename it Iguana Island?
